Teleport Konya

Profen’s pioneering investment Profen Teleport Konya, is the first independent gateway earth station in Turkey and proof that Turkey is an attractive region for establishing gateway earth stations by overseas satellite operators. This project proved that it is possible to make Turkey a major transit point for communication networks.

• The technology campus in Konya, has established itself as a key transit point for backhaul communications and data management. Connecting the satellite communication traffic to the internet backbone of Turkey through domestic and international fiber optic carriers, Profen has paved the way for all future technological investments and initiatives.
• The technology campus consists of antennas ranging from 1.8 m to 11 m in the Ku, Ka and C bands, as well as a data center occupying 5,000 m2 of the total 25,000 m2 site. The remaining area is thus available fort he construction of a communications hub consisting of antennas of different sizes, data centres, equipment buildings and containers.Both the main and diverse sites are monitored around the clock by a team of engineers and technicians who are specially trained to perform preventive maintenance, repairs and returns of all Profen and customer equipment to ensure uninterrupted service by intervening immediately in the event of a system failure.
• Profen Teleport Konya has established itself as an important hub for backhaul communications and data management. As initiatives in this field are supported by state policy and regional development authorities, Profen has paved the way for all future technological investments and initiatives.
